Girls, if you don't like a guy or find him annoying, why would you keep initiating conversations with him?

Let's say he is just sitting, minding his own business. Then you proceed to ask him a question or initiate chit chatting. The conversations evolves and you sit there for 20 or so minutes just talking normally like 2 normal people. Then after the conversation ends and he listened to you talking about your random topic (how you fixed your wifi at home?) you'll start being difficult, a teasing him and even being a bit rude and you actually seem to enjoy it because your are trying to hide a grin on your face.
She tells me "i talk too much" but when i dont, she'll come up to me and talk about stuff that isn't that interesting, but i listen to anyway, what is the deal?

Its just weird. She can be very girly but when i talk to her, she gets kinda rough. I am nice to her but she is very sarcastic and rude. I know she is playing but if i go out of my way to do her a favor or being nice, i dont know why she resorts to that. She is playful AND nice with others, but she gives me a hard time quite a bit, not even in high school was i teases this much and i was a bit of a nerd back then.

Thanks for the answers but, for those of you who said she likes me, why does she act like this? I mean the other day she talked to me about a rude customer at her work, for like 15 minutes we went over it and i gave her some advice, she was a little worked up so i offered to buy her a coffee but and everything was cool. The next day she just started with the sarcasm and calling me irritating, i mean really? She is a nice girl, she only gets like this with me!

Wow, thanks for all the feedback! There is a lot of different opinions. I've been talking to het and it seems all she wants is attention, especially the way she acts when she doesn't get it and te way she gets all crazy and starts yelling at me and freaking out for stupid things.

I am a nice guy and i just can't bring myself to retaliate and be mean to her as self defense, i know when im angry i can be really mean and i've done it before to her. I'll just stop talking to her and be polite.

She definitely likes you, but when you show her mixed signals she gets insecure and acts out, but she will leave you wondering. And then be all nice the next day. It's a repeated cycle! You shouldn't ignore her, that would just cause more hostility because it is completely obvious that she likes you! Lol. I never start a conversation with a guy That annoys me (i most likely try to AVOID it.) she's just just playig hard to get (and doing a horrible job at it). What you need to do is switch the tables around. Since she claims you "talk too much" just leave her alone. When she comes over to talk to you just get up and leave. If she asks for a favor say no. I dont know why, but when people can't get what they want- they want it even more. The fact that you stop talking fo her is going to make her want to talk to you more.

Yeah, i do that, i just dont say anything. I will leave her alone but when im nearby she'll start "talking to herself" loudly so i hear her complaining or whatever. If i dont pay attention, she'll come over and be "have you seen/hear this before" or some random conversation. Like i said before even when im talking to other people, she'll over hear it and start teasing me or making fun of me from across the room, which if anybody else did it it would be, in fact, annoying.

Such girls who play that game enjoy the attention. It's simply the attention. They get called "attention whores." They enjoy being chased and pursued and it doesn't matter what kind of attention it is.

That's why you see the grin on her face. The nasty truth is that many girls especially when they're young get trapped into using sexually provocative means to get this attention then things get really really bad. I see many cases of it at my 2nd job. The girls at it will "Complain" about the old guys hitting on them and then they'll have smirks on their faces with enjoyment and 1 will even tell me how she's all flattered. They like the ego boost even though it's such a cheap and even demeaning way of getting one.

I hear ya. That may be the reason but at least personally, i wouldn't go out of my way to talk or give attention to a girl i dont like. Its weird because she is a nice girl and she doesn't usually act like this with anybody else, she'll give them a hard time and what have you, but doesn't nag them constantly. She's trying to find out how you feel about her and I would say she has been doing this for a while. At some point, she felt rejected by you irrespective of whether you realised this or not. From her point of view, she likes you but you don't seem to show much interest so she initiates conversations about crap to get you to, at least, engage with her.

The teasing/being rude bit is about testing how far she can go with you. It's the naughty and nice syndrome. She is desperate for you to make a move to that she can in turn reject you and then everything will be even between you. I feel she is emotionally invested in you and so teases you to provoke some sort of reaction, any sort of reaction. She wants to know that she is getting to you and that you feel something when she does those things.

Do you like this girl? You make a lot of effort to talk to her when she does engage in convo and you seem to do nice things for her.

She's not flirting, but she's trying to break the ice between you two so that she eventually CAN flirt. Her method is humor. She's joking and teasing to build a "friend" type bond with you first, and then when you guys become more like good friends and get comfortable around each other, she'll turn flirty... and she'll probably tell you she really likes you/all that mushy stuff. Some girls just use humor to get comfortable at first, that's all.
My advice if you like her, would be to tease her back but be light hearted and smile. Play pranks on her sometimes.. You're going to melt her icy little heart.
