well she said she had a boyfriend and then said "thank you though". I was just wondering if a girl says " thank you " at any point in that situation, does it mean she does not see you as a potential boyfriend.

Not always. I don't lie about having a boyfriend if I don't have one. If I have one and I am not interested, its an easy way out. On the other hand yet, I have been asked out by other men. Some of which I was highly attracted to and would have said yes if I wasn't already committed. Kinda a "no honey I'm good" kind of a moment. It's flattering to be asked out, so I thank them always, regardless if im attracted or not. It is sweet and nice that someone gave me a try.
