Is it okay to add my barista on facebook?

I go to the coffee shop everyday for 3 months and there was a really handsome barista guy, but a few days ago I found out that he doesn't work there anymore. He was always extra nice to me, even flirting with me sometimes. I found him on facebook a while ago but didn't add him bc I didn't want to make things awkward as I would see him everyday. But now I want to keep in touch with him.
My question is would it be weird to friend request him? If you were a barista, would it freak you out if your customer FB you?

Go ahead and Push the 'Barista' Button here, dear. Facebook is a social media site for Meeting friends and even getting to Know some you may already 'Know' As... Your customer.
I am sure he will Gladly Accept you as a friend on Facebook so don't hesitate any longer. The more you both message, the More you can Both get 'More' acquainted on there and Hopefully... Off the customer seat, Outside the barista box.
