What did he want to do when he said "Don't tempt me"?

There's this guy at my college. We both have been flirting with each other and one of my professors likes to tease me that I like him. I just play it off (try not to be too obvious... because well I do find this guy attractive and I like him...). This guy also likes to say things to the professor to get him to tease me about liking said guy. Later, after said guy said something to make our professor tease me, the guy and I were on the clock working and we were play arguing with each other. It was just the two of us in the room. As we were play arguing and I was pretending to be annoyed at him (ok I actually was slightly annoyed at him for real) he said "don't tempt me" and I said "don't what?" and he said again "don't tempt me" and I asked him "tempt you to do what?" and he then said "something I might regret." I couldn't see his face when he said this because my back was turned away from him but he didn't sound mad at all. What do you think he was tempted to do? We've never kissed but we do flirt a lot and he walks over to talk to me and we've eaten dinner a couple times together.
