Whats the difference between thats so nice to hear and thats so good to hear?

now if you compliment a girl and get a response like, "aww, that's so sweet/nice/etc..." she's usually just placating you and doesn't want to hurt your feelings by seeming too interested

This might sound like a stretch but "nice to hear" means it's something positive that happened without the person being involved. "Good to hear" means it positively affected the person being told about it.
