Should I send a second request to follow my crush on instagram?

I sent a request to follow my crush in instagram but it appears follow again when I visit his profile. 1.) when i sent that request i was somewhere where wifi was really bad might be error cause it was requesting then load forever not requested with a tick. Or 2.) he denied it. if its the 2nd i Would be stalkerish and clingy? But should i send it again?
