When a guy playfully takes your stuff, can that be a hint that he likes you?

I like my friend and he sits right next to me in science class. We talk the entire time even when we're not supposed to. Every day he takes stuff like my pens or pencils from my pencil case so that I have to kinda wrestle with him to get it back.

I dont think so, he is just being playful. He could like you, but thats not the hint you are looking for.

eh its more of a friend thing, he knows its yours its a way of not "stealing" something because he knows it belongs to you.
