Is he flirting when he teases me or being mean?

You often read how teasing is a form of flirting, a bit like pulling a girls pigtails when you were at school.

For men that perhaps haven't matured or gained as much experience with the opposite sex, how can you tell when they're trying to flirt by teasing you or when they're just being mean?

I don't view teasing as being flirting. I view teasing for how it is being taken. the point is nobody likes to be teased so it shouldn't not be done if you do it to other people. you know when that person is being mean to you because you feel very hurt and Confused. that's why I don't agree with teasing or flirting. are the person who sensitive I can sense when somebody is doing wrong by me or somebody is doing so in a manner that's inappropriate to me. not what other people think and say it's okay when it's not okay.

an example would be of when I was in public school in my K to 12 years, I had a guy who was only in preschool at the time and I'm in kindergarten who did just that to me. but he was not teasing me like other people thought he was mocking me in a manner that was so very hurtful. he claimed that he hated me but he didn't know why. meanwhile keep doing is stare at me for so many years that we was going to the same schools together. we always ended up in an argument when we was younger. people thought that we was going to get married but I never saw him in that way and neither did he see me in that way. and when he said that if he can kill me he would that was the last straw for me. stayed away from that guy, and try to avoid him as much as I possibly could. the only way you could ever tell if that person is serious about you or not is unless you ask them yourself. but if he has to resort to flirting and teasing games then he is not the type of person you would want. it's not about age or just them being immature that's just who they are as people. that's just how they think. a person who mature and serious about you don't have to resort to game playing. they will tell you directly how they feel about you and what if not they want something serious with you.

If he is close to your age and is flirting by mean teasing, he is very immature. His flirting style isn't likely to be the only way he is immature, either. So, in the end, mean is mean whether he's flirting or not. I'd take a hard pass.

It doesn't really matter. I'll probably treat a woman who is just being mean the same way I'd treat a woman who is flirting.
