Is he flirting with me by pretending to be mean?

So I’ve been friends with this one dude (we’ll call him Dj) for around 3 years now, he has given me lots of advice and pointers for relationships. A month ago I got broken up with from an almost year relationship. Dj has been talking to me again after this but now it’s different. He texts me way more than he used to, and now we’re both #1 on each others snap. Because of this attention I have accidentally gained feelings for him and I’m scared he does not feel the same way at all, and I don’t want to ruin our friendship. He always asks what I’m doing, if I want to call, he texts me late at night and in the morning. When we call he barely speaks though, but its a comfortable silence. He teases me too and pretends to be rude to me, while calling me names but I can’t tell if its him flirting or just being a friend. He always says things like how he’s always there for me when I need to vent, but I have a feeling he might just be that way to everyone. So my questions are, does he have feelings? Is he just being friendly? If I tell him, would he stop talking to me completely? Should I even confess, and when? This is all very weird for me and I feel guilty because I just got out of a relationship, but I also hope he isn’t just playing me.
