How to respond when tinder guys say "your dog is cuter than you"?

Question

On my tinder profile, I have a photo with my corgi pup 🐶 And I've gotten two messages expressing that my pup is cuter-- which I can't argue against because dogs are the cutest

The first guy messaged "That awkward moment when your dog is cuter than its owner" and the second guy initiated the convo with "You're cute but if I dare say the dog might be cuter #priorities ;)"

What are they trying to accomplish by saying that? And how should I respond? Thanks!

We do that to be more funny and get away from the boring messages that most men send. Respond him "yeah, but he already has a girlfriend lol"
