What does it mean when a guy texts you all day, every day?

We have been texting constantly for the past couple of weeks. It's like one long conversation that never ends. He doesn't let the conversation drop, and literally texts me all the time. It doesn't matter where he is, at work, at home, out shopping etc.
We work together and I usually walk home. The other day I was walking home when he came up behind me and offered to give me a ride home in his car. It was day time and I was literally 5 minutes away from my home but he insisted on driving me. He goes in completely opposite direction so he actually drove all the way to the other side to stop me and give me a ride.
The other day we were texting when I told him I was going to take an hour long nap (wasn't feeling well) and we stopped chatting. 2 hours later he texts me to wake me up because I hadn't come online.
Does he like me or is this the friendzone?
He's 38 and I'm 28.

Obviously He is attracted to you... if a guys contacts you almost every day it means he respects you. Now I can't say for sure if he likes you because I don't know what you guys been talking about? Have you been talking for the future? past ex-es? Does he say he misses you? I mean any sign cute messages? butterflies?

Some guys do text other girls every day just in a friendly way but in your case I think he might like you.
You can ask him or even better if you like him him go on and tell him! Don't waste your time.

My personal opinion : I prefer to date guys no older than 3-5 years but hey that's my opinion you do what you like to do!

He asks me quite frequently if I miss and tells me he misses me. We have talked about our passions and interests, ups and downs in life, have a few inside jokes and we make small plans to go here an there. I get tonnes of butterflies haha!
Yeah at first even I was a bit apprehensive about our age difference, but now it just feels like a number.
