Flirty conversations?

Trying to decide if this guy is just trying to get laid or maybe wants something more. We were on the phone the other night and this was said when he complained about having to do laundry after work:

Me: You should get you a girlfriend. Maybe she’ll do it for you.
Him: I’m trying, but you’re stubborn.

This guy is a good friend of mine and we’ve both recently started flirting/sitting closer together when hanging out/whatever more with each other in the last couple weeks or so. I am planning on speaking up when I see him tomorrow, but was interested in what people would say on here.

he definitely wants a relationship. If he wanted sex, he'd probably say something like "I'd invite you over to do that, but our clothes are just more likely to end up piled on the floor instead 😜".

Ya that is sounding 50/50 but I am leaning towards him wanting a relationship more then sex
