Gun range for the first date?

Okay, I know this seems to be an odd question, but seeing I may be going on a first date in the near future, and I am a bodyguard, as well as an NRA certified Concealed weapons instructor now... I wanted my first date to be cool. I wanted to take her to A gun range... Of course after we have a lunch thing or whatnot... Is this a good Idea?

I only ask, because I go to the gun range a lot. Pretty expensive habit (I spend at least $80 every time I go to practice, and I go at least twice a week...), but it is not just a habit, or a hobby... It is also a requirement of my Job. No, I am not going to be dating her while on duty... But, because of the fact that she should know how, and perhaps so that it does not weird her out as much... I was thinking of taking her and about maybe 5 or 6 different pistols to the range and let her try them out. besides, the next time, we can do whatever it is she likes doing...

Is it a good Idea or a bad idea?

I think it would be awesome. If you are worried that the girl may not be into then, like the guy said previously, just bring it up at dinner and ask if they are ok with going. I think this would show that you are thoughtful and did not just assume they would want to go and show that you can come up with exciting ideas that are not the run-of-the-mill date activities.

Awe man I would be psyched if a guy took me to a gun range! I'm not crazy or anything lol I just really like weapons and I'm not much of a dinner and a movie girl. I like action so good for you for thinking outside the norm

Personally, if a guy would bring me to a gun range I would flip ( in a good way ) especially since I wouldn't want to go there alone but if a guy brought me there on a date I would find it pretty cool.

Take her out to eat and while there say you were planning on going to the gun range later and ask if she would like to go with. This way it isn't "The Date" in case she has no interest but it can be "Part of the Date" in case she is all about it. Make sure your six is covered before engaging the target ya know.

Btw, I am an expert of CQC if she did decide to get froggy... LOL Would not be the first time I had a loaded gun fired "At" me and I disarmed the person trying to shoot me... LOL Probably would not be the last...

Haven't you seen many guys taking dates to your range? I saw guys taking their dates to the gun range I went to all the time.

I don't own a range... I don't have $1 million woth of liability insurance. Only $50 thousand... Running a range is expensive. I have contracted with a range. I pay them once a year, and I have unlimited usage. My expendatures is only due to ammunition. I am there paying attention to my ass... I don't care why they are there, as long as they don't point a weapon the rong way.
