Should I just get straight to the point and ask the girl out to coffee or lunch, and ask for her phone number? It would safe myself tune from embarrassment. Having a hard time approaching girls at school. Advice would help, thank you!

I think to stay on the safe side and to avoid the embarrassment of rejection, try to read the girl first. (Observe and plan before you dive into a war zone). Yes girls do like straight forward men, but sometimes if the girl is initially not interested , the guy will come off as pushy, when he does eventually ask her out. So make sure the girl is at least a little interested before you ask her out and drop the bomb. Does she smile at you when your eyes meet? Does she look at you? Does she laugh at your jokes, or initiates conversations with you? If yes then go ahead ask her out already!

If you think u can handle an "if ever rejection" then go for it. Ask her out. But if you are the type of guy who is fearing rejection, then I suggest test the water first. Be friends with her first. Know what she likes and dislikes. Then ask her out.
