Am I too flirty?

Recently one of my close friends accused me of flirting with all of these men at my job, which took me by surprise. I do work mostly around guys. I'm an incredibly social person, and I absolutely love meeting new people. Whenever a new person starts at my job, I immediately get to know them and befriend them. As I said, I like to meet new people and I also of course like to make them feel comfortable. However, my friend said I am also overly-friendly with customers, even when speaking to them on the phone. That I laugh and smile too much, and hold too much eye contact. This just rubbed me the wrong way, because I cringe when thinking of the fact that my male friends could think I blatantly flirt with them all the time. I guess my question is, if someone talked to you in this sort of manner that I do, would you think you were being flirted with?

Just be you. your friend is just giving you some of her thoughts but honestly, just be you. If the guy friend ever ends up flirting back or one day tells you they like you just make your intentions clear... that you are just a friendly social person. and that if any mixsignls were sent that it was not ur intention. That's a nasty controlling and patronizing thing to say, and if I were you I would be questioning the friendship. Your behavior is fine. Your friend has a problem.

I think your friend is being kind of sexist, because at any job you're supposed to be friendly with the customers and co-workers. And it's only because you're a woman that anyone thinks you must want to hook up with them or something.
