Boyfriend compares me to his ex, but in a positive way?

His ex use to hit him when drunk and kissed other guys and such. When were hanging out and talking about some funny stuff we've done while drunk he'll say things like ' at least you don't hit me' and at least you don't etc'. Why?

Maybe he's still bitter about it. Either that or he's just really happy that you're an improvement over her and he wants you to know that.

I'm not sure but maybe its because he's happy that you don't hit him and stuff... I don't know jus tryin 2 help

it means he's not over her yet. he still brings her up and thinks about her. maybe he's only dating you because you remind him of her and he can't have her
