Lovely ladies, when you're out at night and open to a cool guy approaching you, how would you suggest he do it?

There are plenty of guys who genuinely want to have a good interaction with a pretty girl, but he just doesn't know how to do it sometimes. For me personally, I have no problem in the daytime, but at night, I feel that many girls have their defenses up. I asked about this a while ago, and the large majority of girls said it's either because at night, things get get dangerous or because guys are just looking for sex. I'm sure there are those instances where the guys are just not good looking enough, but let's say he makes the cut.

Do NOT approach her when she is alone, (aka walking to her car, or in a place there is no one else around)

Be polite, respectful and sincere.

Volunteer information about your self, nothing too personal but psychologists agree that opening up to someone makes them more willing to trust you.

Flattery... lets be honest, every one likes compliments, but don't go over board. Pay a sincere compliment to a small detail, like her earrings, or something she obviously put effort into.

Pay attention to body language, that will tell you a lot about how a person feels around you.

Ask questions, people like to talk about them selves and their interests. Having someone who is generally interested it what you have to say is a good feeling. So if she talking about something that she likes to do or something she enjoys, ask questions and try to find things you have in common.

A good opener is to ask what her opinion is on something. That way, you'll come across as chilled and not too creepy. Depending on her reaction, you can then throw in some flirty banter so she knows you weren't just looking for her answer.

You want to spark their interest, and not come across as every other guy in the place. A good example that my friend does is opens with something like; 'You don't look like you're from around here' she'll then be curious to know why you think that, and you can then say something like; 'oh, you just seem to have this type of edge not many girls have here' or something like that

Start with a joke while smiling but don't be smiling too much, dont start with a pick up line unless it's funny. Then ask her about herself subtle stuff. Or you can go another route and when you first approach her compliment somthing out of the ordinary but make a big deal about that your complimenting and really go off about it, so bow you have her full attention and she's laughing inside and all she's thinking about is you.

When you figure out what to compliment her on, stay focused on the topic on which you complimented her on.. For the conversation. I don't know if that makes any sense just really drag it out as long as you can

I tell you about a very smooth interaction I had recently leading to a few dates.
I was at a gig, I noticed the guy and I smiled at him, he smiled back. A few times I passed him on the way to the bar and again smiled at him. Then he nearly got caught in one of girls' costume/antler, so I said "be careful"
And next time he passed me, he actually started talking to me, asking about the bands which one I liked. The rest is history.
