There's no point for me unless i know you in some way.
Mostly due to the fact that stranger danger.. and those situations usually involve exchanging numbers or social media. I can't hold conversations via text if I don't already know you and am comfortable with you. Otherwise I'll interpret it as fake meaningless attempts at conversation and I won't respond.

When I approach someone it's usually someone I somewhat know and am familiar with. Then I'll keep engaging in conversation the next couple of times I see them. Then we can exachange numbers/social media.

I tend to shut them down with out even realizing it. It may occur to me several days later that eh was flirting. But I tend to be in my own head a lot and it takes me a long time to warm up to people. For example , when it comes to flirting and dating most people move really fast. I don't know why but it takes me a long and slow time to build attraction towards someone - as in 6 months to several years. The women will flirt and flirt and flirt and I usually don't pay much attention to it since I really don't like flirting much. Even if the woman is good looking I will not feel any attraction towards her for a long while - by the time I realize that she is cute or interesting she has become frustrated with my lack of reciprocity and has moved on.

If I am not in a relationship I was respond in kind. I will match them because there is no point not doing so. If I am in a relationship I will match to a certainty but if I feel like they are pressing for anything more I will shut it down.

Depends on the feel, how much time I have. I will often chat with anyone who I click with conversation wise. Man, woman, elderly. I’m not looking. It’s just nice to be friendly.

In my country, if anyone stranger flirts openly with you, it is to sell something or to rob you. So I avoid and reject them.
