Crush on gym receptionist?

So there's this girl who I see at my campus gym sometimes working out and recently I've just been making eye contact and smiling at her and she just smiles back and I go about my business. Today I saw her sitting at the equipment desk before she went on away and I ran into her again when I was in the middle of my workout. I just ended up asking her a harmless question, and then as I was leaving I saw her again at the equipment desk and just introduced myself and got her name. I'm a pretty shy person with zero experience with women so I was somewhat satisfied with at least doing that, but I want to get to know her more. If you were in a similar situation how would you go about this?

You need to ssk for her number if she willingly gives you it you know she probably is also up for a date. Good ideavto call and get to know each other overbthe phone a bit first before you go for the date.

Receptionists are trained to smile at people. She probably doesn’t wanna get hit on at work so I’d probably not say anything unless she engages with you first.
