I find them so amazing and its sad that two happen to be taken, but I will keep my distance. It also sucks when you find yourself attracted to them but then they state in an opinion what their type is and you’re complete opposite of that. It’s like you wanted to take a chance and express your attraction but then you realize it would be a waste of time. *sigh* So for now, I will keep quiet and continue giving/receiving advice on other topics

I have to tell you something about guys and 'types'.

In a nutshell, I have never met a guy who had such a really rigid 'type' of girl he was into. It is definitely not accurate to think that you'd be "wasting your time" because you're of a different type then what he wrote in an opinion. That is especially true if you mean PHYSICAL 'type'.

Guys may have their preferences. But trust me, they are not rigid 'types'. I kind-of have a 'type' overall. But... I was telling my GAG friend the other day, about the girl who I look back on as having been most attracted to. I knew her for a few years. And this was years and years ago. The whole time I knew her she had bangs (like... her hair).

Now... I hate bangs. I have always hated bangs. I think everyone looks worse with bangs.

She was also just not 'my type' appearance-wise (didn't fit the pattern of the girls I date).

Still... looking back... I was so attracted to her.

If she had read an opinion post about how much I hate bangs... she might have concluded she wasn't my type.

If, however, you mean PERSONALITY type... that... is a bit more complicated. For the most part, still not a rigid type.

For example, I tend to like women who are a little quirky. Women who are slightly more extroverted, who I can joke around with. But there have been times where I've totally noticed the quiet, introvert who seems the exact opposite. That's because they would share some traits (kind, loyal, funny etc) that are present in both 'types' of people.

Lastly, I have a lot of opinions about everything. Every once-in-awhile someone will remind me of something I said... without understanding that the listner was taking note of my opinion... and giving it more weight than they should.

For example, maybe I say something about how much I love short girls. And I do. They're cute as fuck. Maybe I even say something half-jokingly like: "I'm all about the short-girls 🙂 They're just so little and cute!"

Well 6 months later, in unrelated conversation... someone will say something about how "they know I don't like tall girls"... and I'll have a record-scratch-moment.

I don't even remember off-hand the comment they're referencing. But in this person's head, I have clearly stated my preference. But... I don't have any huge preference! I like short girls. Some girls I have dated have been short. But... I like tall girls too. Some of the girls I have dated have been tall. There really is no correlation AT ALL between a girl's height and how likely I am to find her attractive.

It would be completely wrong for some tall girl to think she'd be 'wasting her time' with me just because of what I said about liking short girls.

So you should go for it!🙂
