How come he always acknowledges me but never talks to me?

This guy I like at work I think he likes me too I’ve caught him looking at me multiple times even when I’m not looking he seems to get nervous around me and fine around other people I even caught him looking and smiled and waved at him once he smiled and waved at me I did that to seem like an easy person to talk to and he always says hi Victoria without eye contact when he walks past me and today he said hi Victoria and was getting water behind the register I was like oh is the deli busy and he goes “no clue” while looking anxious or nervous I don't know but I kno he was in the bathroom before so obvi he wouldn’t kno but why did he just say that he never makes an effort to talk I don't know what should I do? Is this normal or is he just not interested

He's shy or he's just experienced grief growing up or even family oppression. It happens. If you like to talk to him about his feelings and so. Go for it 😀

Maybe you can try to find his Facebook or Instagram profile and try to figure out what his interest are and just send him a message on social media. At some point you have to try to communicate with him.

Your story tells me that he is just a shy guy who isn't the best story teller so don't overthink the situation to much because he feels probably just as awkward as you feel but someone needs to break the ice.

He probably likes you and feels shy and he doesn't dare to talk to you because he fears making a fool out of himself by trying to talk to you.

He probably appreciates you a lot if you are making the first move and start a conversation.

If you guys are both shy to talk in real life then the best option you guys have left is texting eachother on social media. Then you have time to think about what your going to say and it can help to get to know each other from a distance instead of face to face
