How common is it for someone to be in their early 20's and not gone on a date? Why is there so much pressure about it?

I feel like there is so much pressure to "find a girl" when you enter your 20's. I've never gone on a date but my mom wants me to find a nice girl someday. I just don't think I'm ready to have my life change like that.

Most of my former classmates were in some kind of relationship in college, I feel like it's too late now. What's with the pressure about it all?

In the United States yes unfortunately. The me to movement really killed dating for everyone. Men don’t want to get “me to” everything men use to do like holding door open and calling a women beautiful is now sexual harassment in the united state. Plus no-fault divorce pretty much killed marriage. Someone is always at fault in a divorce. Not to mention online apps, like tinder has killed the dating scene because now you can just go and hook up with somebody without needing to go out into the public and try to woo her like we use to it’s not just you this is happening all over in western society

All very true. It's honestly kinda scary to date the modern woman, one slip up & you could be in trouble. Plus, I like holding the door & stuff, I'm old fashioned ig. It's just so hard to meet a genuine person unfortunately.

French women love it. Same with British, Japan is very unexpected not because they will cuss you out they at first look at your strange because holding the door open for women isn’t part of Japanese culture. But they realize you’re white and trying to be polite from a western idea so they say thank you give you a smile and ask you where you’re from, had many conversations with Japanese girls because of that. American is the only country I get cussed out for holding a door open.
