Lol I’m not a guy who receives compliments, I’m much more likely to receive criticism and judgment from others. People tend to put me down a lot which is why my self esteem and confidence are low, it would be easy to be confident if people like you, compliment you and want to be around you
Umm. If someone says "thank you", I'll respond "you're welcome".
Is this supposed to be a "compliment relating to anything towards a potential relationship" or something? I've never heard something like that... maybe... I don't know.
You don't know me, but if you did you'd know that people complementing me is super suspicous. So I keep my head down and get out of there as quick as I can. Which I never do because noone compliments me.
Oh I’m a megaflirt! If someone tried to woo me in the street, I’d carry on walking like I was ignoring them but at the last minute, look back and seductively wink at them, slowly lick my lips and blow them a kiss before continuing to walk.
Depends on scenario. Someone I have rapport with/ seems ok, I'll probably respond.
Some creeper/rando that I wouldn't look 2x at: I'm just rolling on with my day. Why: they take a mile if you give an inch. So I act like they don't exist.
I'd say, "wow, thank you for the compliment... but are you taking the piss?". Because I really am an unattractive guy and I am very unlikely to get a compliment.
I would brush it off with a wave of the hand or a quick thanks. I have never taken compliments well or believed they were genuine, especially if they were from women.
One of the reasons I hate socializing is because compliments. Its much the same feeling as getting a shirt that’s too small for your birthday and for a band you don’t like.
I would say thank you and smile. Who would walk away? If they are "creepy" you just keep it moving. Why are basic social mores becoming so difficult for people?
I would thank them but then excuse myself to get away from them because I’m happily married 👍🙂. If they continued I would show them my wedding ring and say thanks but I’m taken. Then immediately try to get away from them.
Well , it depends.. sometimes I'm caught off guard and I have like 2 seconds to think of something to say so I end up being really awkward about it lol... other than that I show my appreciation in some way...
if i'm wearing a short skirt i'll get whistles guys may say nice... but i'll keep walking generally... at the most i'll say is thank you.

People have trouble accepting compliments for a number of reasons. Sometimes, it's tied to social anxiety. It can also be caused by feelings of low self-esteem, or by going through life without experiencing positive feelings of gratitude.

You mean a random stranger or a person we know?
In any case I'd at least say thank you - if the compliment was polite.
If it was rudely said and came from a stranger, I'd ignore.

Should that be considered an invite

Respond of course. It would be RUDE not to say something! It's like you are ENTITLED to that compliment? ! Nope!

Guys generally don't take the compliments seriously they would think that either someone is joking or making them fools. Haha
Ill say thank you. There is a difference between a complement and being a perv. Just need to be respectful to one another

Well time to think about been married to her. Before saying something to pretend I am not obsessed with them now.
I usually try to find something I like about them and compliment them back. Got to keep the positive energy moving

I usually respond, as walking away would be rude. A simple "Thank you" is all that is needed.
