Does my online friend like me?

He starting throwing me attention a month ago and didn't really know him that well because he is shy. After I start responding to his chats he started to tease me a lot calling me "grandma" and teasing me in the mutual games we play.

He started joining my friends livestreams of games to hang out while I was there and he hangs out when I stream an anime show with everyone.

I recently invited him to play a game with me, he accepted and stay up until 5am to play it with me (due to timezone). Then he invited me to play one of his favourite games, he taught me how to play and played for 3 hours and he stayed up until 5am again.

He teases me a lot and we chat on voice call occassionally, whenever we play a game. We do not DM each other though but talk in our mutual group chat.

I have a small crush on him too but he does try to do things with me, he asks me what new games to play etc. Im patiently waiting for him to DM me. Last time I was initiating most of the moves to a shy guy he lost interest

How can I progress things further with him when he is shy?

Well, it's hard unless you can spend time with him in person, and even then you have to take the initiative to plan everything and get him out of his shell

I just dont want him to stop chasing me like he is right now. I have taken the initiative before in the past with a shy guy but he lost interest when I started initiating. I do not want it to happen again.

Well, you at the very least need to give him some very positive feedback
