So how about the statistics? Is it flirting; to hug a guy, (someone you see once a year cause they live in Norway,) pressing her chest / breasts firmly against your chest and rubbing the guy's back with one arm? Nonoe else in lateral: "friend of the family positions received it." And a comment of "if he was ten years younger..." was made to someone not in my presence. What degree of flirting is it? Any one?

Depends on the person really.

In my family, we always give chest to chest hugs with a little rubbing - but the sense isn't sexual of course.

Hugs are more physical, and represent a mutual comfort between those giving / receiving them.

With ma guy buddies - I try to hug them around their upper back and they do the same;

If it's like someone I'm fliriting with - then I hug him around the neck and he hugs me around my waist in a full on chest to chest embrace.

So, I'd say it's more along the lines of more intensive flirting; past the small talk and horseplay. Often if the feelings are flowing pretty good - hugs like that often lead to kissing.

But honestly, it depends on the situation and that person's inner intentions...

I just want to tip toe about, this is a friend of my mother's...daughter. The two went to school together and her daughter seems interested, I just want to use good judgment out of respect, I don't want to get caught off gaurd by this woman and have everyone look at me weird because she is a friend of the family. She is 21, I am in my thirties.

It's hard to say - sometimes hugs can be flirty - sometimes completely harmless. I wouldn't place all bets on a few hugs - just stay friendly and if the two of you are interested, I mean, it's not horrible the age the difference - so long as you both are at a mental place. And even though their a friend of the family, you two can still date, like, no one can really stop it because your adults ya know?
