Not used to women Messaging/Dm on Instagram?

So recently this Woman on Instagram sent me a request and then started to message me. I replied to her but after a few messages she just seemed a little way too friendly calling me "Dear" and whatnot when I barely know her.. I know that sounds weird but any time a random woman talks to me on social media that I don't know irl 9/10 for me there a scammer or a fake profile.. so I winded up cutting straight to the chase and asked her if she was "catfishing" me she got mad and told me not to talk to her anymore.

Am I wrong for her asking that? It's just almost 1 in a million chances a pretty girl wants to message me first

Also catfishes aren't obviously going to tell the truth that they are. That's where reverse image search comes in if they send a picture.
