Me and my gym coach caressed eachothers fingers during our session does this mean anything?

When I was laying on the floor doing an exercise today my gym coach was on his knees next to me and it got to the point i was so exhausted and after he told me ''good job'' i grabbed his hand and smiled at him and we caressed eachother's fingers for a long time.. it felt really different and i lost track of time while doing it but neither of us were letting go.. what's the meaning of this?

He was just being polite. Gym coaches are glorified sales people remember. He just wanted to leave it up to you to break the contact so as not to look too abrupt by pulling away first.
