Lesbian women are friendlier to me then straight women?

I’ve had this happen twice in the last two months. I was in a public social place and both women approached me and they didn’t look like they were at all interested in men. I definitely don’t act or dress like a hipster either.

I guess I came off as more confident and easy going because I figured I had little or no chance with doing anything with them anyway. Figured they were just being friendly which is totally cool. I enjoyed chatting with both of them.

But the last time this happened the young woman made a remark “wow you look great for your age!” when she found out how old I was. Maybe it was innocent compliment but the way she said it surprised me.

We connected on instagram but I didn’t push anything (no flirting, getting her number, etc). But I plan to DM her a friendly hello at some point.

Maybe these women are bisexual. But both of them definitely dressed and acted like they were only interested in women. I feel it would be even a bigger risk to make a move on that. I wasn’t attracted at all to one I met earlier but the latest one I wouldn’t turn down if she was interested.

If they are true lesbians and not bisexual then it's most likely because they don't perceive you as a threat or an option for dating so they are more comfortable around you. They see you more like a brother type than anything else.

Yeah that’s why I initially thought. But when she made a compliment about my looks (and the way she said it) I started to wonder a bit.

Maybe she meant nothing by it and that’s fine. But I was (pleasantly) surprised she said that. Doesn’t mean I ran with it though. But just wondering.

I've always gotten along great with lesbian chicks. Like, they talk to me like I'm a normal human, and not like I'm a cash register, sex object, potential boyfriend or rapist. I think this is pretty normal.

Funny thing is I assumed she wasn’t interested. It wasn’t until she gave me a compliment about my looks is when I thought twice about it.
