Am I overthinking or she is really being distant?

I started talking to someone a few weeks ago. Things started great, and our first date went well, but she left for a trip shortly after. Her texts have become shorter and less enthusiastic, and I'm unsure if I should bring this up or just wait for her to return. Should I talk to her about it, or am I overthinking and need to be patient?

My opinion is if they're not giving you attention or at the very least communicating why they're not giving you attention or busy... it means they're not that interested in you. People definitely have the time in their day to message at least once.

Well on the one hand I'd say it has been only one date and she wants to keep her distance and understand how she herself feels about dating you again. On the other her behavior does suggest she's going cold and hoping you will possibly walk away. It could also be that she's playing a game to see if you care or of you will become clingy or run after her if she plays it cold. So the best thing you can do is ask her plain and square how things stand especially if you want immediate answers.

If she's traveling then you should be a little patient, especially if she's in a different timezone. When does she get back? The quantity and quality of the texts should improve when she gets back.

It's only been one date and she's on vacation. Ease up on the texting a bit until she gets back and see if she wants to meet up again.

Some women are really disrespectful and difficult assholes about texting early on.

Kinda going through the same thing with a guy his on vacation! He responds to texts but he also said he won’t check his phone the whole time so I’m backing off as best I can!! Was anything said that could have made her give space or anything?

Not sure what the trip was for but she could just be busy or caught up. I know when I am having fun, I literally block everything out and just enjoy the experience

did she tell you that shell be busy travelling? if not it might not a very good sign but still be patient till she gets back

Just wait for her to get back. Maybe she’s busy on her trip. If it keeps happening after she gets back then bring it up.
