Is chatting up a girl at the gas pump weird?

I'm talking about chit chatting with a girl that's using the same pump as you, just on the other side. Maybe get her number maybe not depending on how the conversation goes. My brothers girlfriend was like that's weird. How? I mean if you go walking around to all the pumps talking to girls, maybe, but I don't see it. She gives bad advice when she drinks.

Honestly... With The amount of kidnappings/abductions that happen at gas stations I like to get in and out as fast as possible and not talk to anyone. It's kind of a vulnerable position to be in. So yeah just don't.

i think the sounds clearer in the way the gives advices than your own sober thinking. if you really want to meet someone try blind dating or dating apps. but trying to chat someone up when they are trying to get gas at a station is weird. and there has been to many attacks on woman to be able to say that it would feel safe is someone approached a woman like that at a station.

We now live in HR world. Chatting anyone up anywhere at any time for any reason is considered “weird.” We’ve paradoxically made our society into an antisocial hellscape even though we’re biologically designed to be social and communicate with each other.

Honestly, every time I strike a conversation with one, they either don't hear me or pretend not to hear me though, but it's usually pretty loud at gas stations, the wind is blowing, cars driving down the road, etc so my guess is I don't speak up loud enough, but I've tried striking a converation at least 4 or 5 times and only one girl has heard me so far, and all that was with her was just a few sentences back and forth and nothing else. I don't even remember what I asked her honestly lol
