There's a woman who works at a local restaurant near my neighborhood. I want to go in and say hi just for a second and just give her a slip of paper with my number on it, but after countless negative interactions with women throughout my life, I can't even work up the nerve to do it like I used to.
I understand women are scared of men in public because men do horrible things, but should I even try to talk to this girl at her job?

Maybe go in there a couple of times and just try to interact with her and see ho it goes. Then ask her out sometime.
I had a friend that used to ask out every girl that he thought was interesting. One day I went to a convenience store with him because he told me he was going to ask out a girl that worked there. We go in the store and he askes the girl at the counter if Miss X was there. She was not working that day but my friend was able to talk her into giving him X's phone number. He calls X from the pay phone and it turns out there was 2 girls named X tha tworked there and he was talking to the wrong one. He talked to her for a while and hung up. As we walked out he told me that he was meeting her on Saturday after her shift st the convenience store. This guy got shot down a lot but he also dated a lot of girls. He told me that the worst thing that can happen is that she says no.
This girl works behind the counter answering the phone for take out orders, so I wouldn't get to chat with her on the floor like a server or cashier. I just noticed her and thought she is cute. But I feel like Id be bothering her at work leaning over the counter trying to talk to her. I know that's a stupid thing to be afraid of but it's 2024.
Time to put your improvising skills to work.
Negative experiences, such as rejections or awkward encounters, can impact your self-esteem and confidence, but you can fix it. It is all up to you.
