I mean if society thinks you’re old enough to vote on things that could affect millions of people, than why wouldn’t you be old enough to make a judgement on your own life that mainly affects you? Just be careful. Maybe talk to people you know who are in large age gap relationships that have been successful. There’s a lot of large age gap relationships that work out. People, especially women tend to say well what could a man who’s much older possibly have in common w a girl who’s much younger. You don’t always have to have a lot of things in common. My girl never liked basketball now she watches it more than me. I would say the biggest things to have in common though would be religion, finances, political views and what you’re both expecting in the future. Whether that’s marriage w kids, you working or not working if you have a family together. I think those are the most important things to have in common.

So the youngest person dating an 18 year old would be 41.
