It's all about perception. I'll give non-sexual compliments to the bros, but make sure they know it's no homo. To chicks, I'm really careful with my words. Most of the time I'll ignore women because it's way too easy to come off in the wrong way.

I mean my style of flirting is to mention I'd fuck if they'd be down, and then STFU. They'll either go for it or their friend will... not my problem, and I'm not going to act like a salesman just to get some clam. A non-flirting compliment from me to a woman might come off as a diss..."Yo, you actually took a bath for once, you usually look like a homely hampster that just woke up! Thanks for cleaning up for the party."

If a chick thinks I'm hitting on her from that... she is beyond fucking desperate to feel wanted.

The scenario I had in mind is one of the chicks I work with. I have a zero fraternization rule with people I work with... I don't fuck chicks from my office, and not even from the branch of military I'm in... for the longest time I refused to fuck Americans period. They know I'm joking and also know my stance.

Plus knowing them on a personal level and watching all the guys run through them... yuck. Of course half of my compliment is going to be half a slap in the face. Those bitches are dirty bruah.

If you mean that any form of interpersonal communication is odd because:

• They didn't exactly know how you meant what you meant
• They thought they knew what you meant but they missed the point
• You thought you knew what you meant but you missed the point
• You didn't exactly know what you wanted to mean in the first place

Then yes, I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I spend a lot of time communicating because there's a lot of mistakes to fix, constantly.
