Why would a guy call me “his girl” if he says he doesn’t want a relationship?

We all had a get together and he was talking to a buddy/boss of his and he goes “hey my girls right here, yours is over there” and then goes “well my lover as you so put it” as the other guy was walking away (it wasn’t like a fight or anything just a fun light interaction between them) but why did he say that if he doesn’t see anything with me? What does it mean when a guy says that about a girl?

It depends on the girl. Sometimes it means just what he said it means. But sometimes it means you have not given him sufficient reason to want a relationship with you. Unless you REALLY want a relationship with that person i would assume it was the first one.
