Has he friendzoned me by not inviting me to his Halloween party?

There’s a guy I like and basically he has said that I’m one of his closest friends, but he also throws a Halloween party every year. We work together and everyone knows about it. He hasn’t invited me and it seems that everyone knows when it’s happening. I’m worried he’s not inviting me because he’s friends with my ex best friend. I feel like I look an idiot about not knowing about it but I really like him and he seems to get me, but I don’t think that’s enough.

Update: still no invited, worried that yea he’s not inviting me because my ex best friend will most likely be there. I don’t know what to do about the party not being brought. I obviously don’t want to ask for an invite because then it will be uncomfortable. Part of me wonders if he just assumes that whoever will show up, shows up. But he also has been doing this party for years so I would assume there is an invite list.

It doesn’t help that even tho he says I’m his closest friend, I feel

I feel distant from his because everytime we’re on the phone, once those convo ended tonight, he was just kinda ready to hang up on me
