Why do I make more enemies than friends ?

I am shy and I don't talk much ... If someone talks to me - I respond really well and I am very polite too lol.

So , I tend to make friends in the beginning but later they turn my enemies lol .. I am shy so I hardly text and talk . Is that the reason ?

I mostly wait for people to talk with me and then I keep talking ..

Also, would you hate someone who is more intelligent than you and he does not talk to you ? Would you think he is rude and arrogant ?
