Boyfriend rarely compliments me?

He tells me the I loves and I miss yous but he rarely does the little sweet things like tell me I look good or something or when I do my hair and the makeup to look good for him. Its just nice to hear those things from your man and not some random stranger. It upsets me sometimes that strangers compliment me but my man doesn't and he's the only one I want to hear it from :( He'll tell some random girl he likes her smile or so but not me..,

but he told me that he stopped because I never believe him and because I don't like compliments. he doesn't make it sound believable! I hate it when people compliment you to make you feel better :( the only time I know he means it is when he compliments and he does something along with it.

like " omg that dress looks cute on you! spin for me!" *fixs you up and kisses your head. then peeks under dress*

i mean, you can't just give a compliment and that's it! tell us what you like about it! "you look good today" isn't good enough! " you look good. I like what you did to your hair today" is much better!

sometimes my boyfriend plays the dumb game with me like he doesn't know how to compliment me and if I had to tell him to compliment it just takes away all the meaning of it too. I kinda stop dressing up for him now these days and screw the make up too.

when I want a compliment, I just run up to him and wiggle my hips if its for the butt, touch my chest if its for the shirt/boobs. he compliments, so it works. guys don't exactly have to say it, showing it should be enough.

if that's how you think, stop dressing up and wearing makeup because he doesn't compliment. this relationship might not work :( doing that doesn't make him want to compliment! there's nothing to compliment anymore lol eventually, you'll stop caring about him because you thought he stopped too

it just gets depressing that to do any of those things just for him to notice. my boyfriend unfortunately is a zombie in that department.

I think he's trying to play the "work hard for me to like you" game. He pays attention to other girls for you to work hard to his 'level'. I'll bet you money that's all he's doing. It's a good trick, it works with some girls. If he complimented you all the time, he'd feel like YOUR better than him so to counter that he just does the very opposite. Ya know what I mean?

Thanks. The other day I did ignored him a bit, he did get a bit needy just because I didn't tell him I love him after him telling me it 3 different ways. It just feels great to know what your man thinks of you. It shouldn't be about ego or anything. Some men and their pride sometimes.
