Can I say "hey sexy", even if we are not dating?

Guys, I am not dating the guy in question, but when he texts me I feel the urge to say something to the effect of "Hey babe!", "hey sexy", "hey wonderful!", etcccc (you know what I mean)

1. Is that too girly?

2. Is that inappropriate if I'm not your exclusive girlfriend?

***This particular guy is someone who I have adored for the majority of my life. We are not exclusively dating due to distance, but when we are together we can't get enough of each other! He is just very "mysterious"! I can never tell how he is feeling***

Ryelee,like I said in your other question if you like him there's no harm done . he will think that's cute if he likes you or not and will make him like you more either way, you go for it , there's nothing to loose as it will only result positively.

im sure its fine, I've learned to deal with it... I take it as a term of endearment, nothing more, if I'm not interested in the girl... to us, its kinda like saying "whats up dude" and "hey man" to our friends

Then of course id take it as more than a term of endearment, each guy acts differently though, I don't know how he specifically thinks

"Hey sexy" would be fine, but if you're hesitant, maybe avoid the "hey babe" for now since that's a little more possessive of a term.
