Why do girls seem to find guys who drink and smoke attractive?

One of my best friend's girlfriend said that she finds it sexy the way the guy holds the cigarette. Although my best friend does not drink and smoke AT ALL. He's a real straight edge guy.

The thing is I heard so many girls saying they don't like guys who smoke, some don't like guys that drink too much too. But they are more attracted to the guys that drink and/or smoke than guys who don't do any of those things.

Well drinking and smoking translate to "bad boy." There's a pretty good high percentage of girls that rather have a bad boy than a nice guy.

I personally don't mind either, especially drinking. Both smoking and drinking originate from previous circumstances, usually bad ones. So I don't judge and shut them down right away, since quitting option is always available.

Set aside, people are more educated about smoking. It's not the 50s anymore. If you want good health and teeth, you shouldn't smoke. Same goes to drinking, but honestly, I don't care if he drinks. I'll drink with him. Alcohol use is fun. However, alcohol misuse and absue is not fun.

Some girls are the same way about guys who smoke and drink... They may be more attracted, but drinking and smoking is portrayed as fun and exciting additions in life, mostly because of the media (in my opinion). We all know the bad effects of drinking and smoking. The attractive facade should fade, when the thoughts of stinky breath, yellow teeth, and black gums are pictured. But then again, some people don't think that much.

Drinking I'm fine with, though it isn't really a turn-on or turn-off. I guess I'm generally more open to guys who drink because I like to drink, so it's uncomfortable for me to be involved with someone who's strictly against it.

Smoking is a huge turn-off for me though. I've been with guys who smoke, and it's not really a deal-breaker. But I hate being around it so much. It triggers my asthma, smells horrible, and tastes bad.

I don't hate alcohol. I drink some when I get for free at parties haha. Anyways, I hate when people, hopefully not my future girlfriend, drink way too much. Let's face it, alcohol isn't good for us in the long-run. I just hope that I don't have to constantly visit my future wife at the hospital because of alcohol. And worse, lose my significant other to alcohol.

I like to drink - I don't necessarily like to binge-drink. And if my partner were binge-drinking excessively I'd worry.

Well most girls just like bad boys. But personally I like a guy who drinks because I like to but if he drank too much or every night I would not like it.
