How to ignore your crush without making it too obvious or rude?

i like this guy in my class I know him for about a month and a half we rarely speak to each other but I catch him looking at me several times after I knew that he have a girlfriend I stopped looking at him or giving him any signs I kind of ignored him to get over him but then he ignored me as well .

was I rude? he would talk to every one but me .or is he just not interested and its all made of my imagination? I really want this awkwardness to stop .

how can I avoid him without being rude?

Avoiding and ignoring can't be done without coming across as rude. So just treat him like a friend. No staring, no flirting, no "hahaha you're so funny" *hairsweep*.

It's not because he has a girlfriend that you can't be friends.

If he's still ignoring you, just ignore him back, doesn't matter if you're rude. Why would you make any effort by trying to be friends if he's still ignoring you?

No need to avoid him. Just stop signaling you like him. If you see him, just say hi and smile and walk on. Don't stare at him in class, don't flirt, just be friendly. Then he'll look stupid because he's thinking you're so into him when you're just being friendly.
