is it true that girls are turned on by guys who has the balls to blatantly chase/flirt with you, tell you he likes you, without even a hint of self-doubt, without making it needy and awkward, but rather like "yes I like you and I am going to try to take you" kind of way, and not caring whether you reject him or not because he is so confident he won't even be affected by your reaction.

is it true that even if you are the biggest bitch in the world and have almost zero attraction to him physically, you would still find that kind of confidence and courage massively attractive and start having positive feelings towards him?

and does this apply to every girl?

Well, there's a thin line between being a needy stalker and simply chasing. I would find it extremely annoying if I rejected him once and he'd just keep trying. That would look a bit stalker-ish to me. For the chasing to work on me, I'd have to initially be at least somewhat attracted to him. If I'm not attracted to him at all and there's no chemistry between us, I would just think he's annoying. But I would have some respect for him, considering the fact that he isn't afraid to just throw himself out there. It takes a lot of courage to do so, and yes, many girls do find it very attractive. I, however, wouldn't exactly swoon just because a guy is confident enough to chase me. Takes a bit more than that for me to like someone.

So no, it doesn't apply to every girl. Confidence is a pretty major plus, but if there's no chemistry at all, it doesn't really matter how confident the guy is.

Also, whenever you're wondering if something applies to every girl or not, just assume it doesn't. For future reference. Everyone has different preferences and tastes when it comes to certain things.

too aggressive will backfire in your face. and no it will not make a girl who had no interest in you like you. chasing will help if she did have some interest, if she has some interest and you are not TOO Aggressive it will build her attraction further but it will NOT build an attraction where there was none.

you can be extremely confident without being aggressive, and extremely aggressive without being confident, which is what I think you have in mind.

I have a hard time believing "every girl is different" in this scenario.

I mean, OK maybe girls are different in the sense that, some find a bold confident guy a big turn on and some find it less so, but they'd still be somewhat attracted to it, I just think there is no way any girl won't be attracted to a totally confident (but non-needy) guy.

I think it would be refreshing to have a guy be confident enough to say "I like you". I seem to be attracted to the type that will never do that and it is always a guessing game.that being said, there is a fine line between being confident and coming off as cocky or arrogant.

It's a fine line... EXTREMELY fine line...

Like the first female AU said - if the girl had an initial attraction to you, a little persistence on your behalf IS a good thing.

But the interesting thing to also note, (albeit it rare) is sometimes some women CAN go from hating your guts, to becoming attracted to you... it's happened to me before, so it's not impossible.

But generally speaking, if a girl expresses NO interest in you from the beginning, you're best to lay off and move on.

Some girls won't go for it but I find a man like that can be incredibly attractive and endearing IF it isn't too intense (stalkerish/crazy). And it's even better if I have any good or positive feelings toward him (not necessarily romantic at the time he starts to chase me).

I really like a guy who chases after me in the event that I'm remotely interested in him. The only time that I've disliked the chasing is when I've clearly expressed that I'm not interested in a guy and don't ever see the potential that I might be interested. It puts the girl being chased in a really awkward place when a guy keeps on making overtures to win her affections, but she's not interested-especially if they hang out in the same circle of friends.

If I find out a guy likes me I generally start liking him back. Unless he makes me feel super uncomfortable. So if your gonna say that get to know her a bit first and don't be All stalker. Also if she says no upfront and you can clearly see she is very uninterested then leave her alone.

Yeah, I like a guy who chases after me. But... it can go too far sometimes. There is this one guy who has been chasing me for over a year now... I've clearly expressed the fact that I don't like him, but he doesn't seem to listen and let's just say that I REALLY dislike this guy now. Mainly because I Iike his friend and it seems to be a running joke in our friend groups and now I basically don't have a chance with him now. Plus he calls me gay because I refuse to date him... so yeah.

Well... no. To be honest I wasn't into him even in the beginning, so later he was just really annoying and I tried to ignore him because I liked someone else. However, if I had liked him a little in the beginning but was just a bit unsure of myself, things probably would have ended up differently.
