What do girls think about guys who they rejected?

I’m a college student and I’ve read a lot on forums where posters all encouraged me to ask the girl out. I like a girl who’s pretty shy and goes to college with me. I’m planning to ask her out on a date but I’m afraid if she rejects me then she’ll hate me forever . It would be extremely awkward to go to classes with her. What do girls really think about guys they rejected and do they still respect the guy?

surely you will get respected even more. Most girls appreciate guys effort in getting to know them. She would feel good and flattered if you showed her that you like her.

I didn't notice one of the guy until he started staring and smiling and came up to talk to me. I pay attention more to him since then, if he didn't, I would probably never pay attention to him, I guess,

So just go for it, may be start to be friend first, make she feel comfortable talking to you and start from there.

Yes of course they still respect the guy. He had enough courage to approach them in the first place. She won't hate you, that's for sure. Most of the time a girl won't make it awkward between her and a guy who she's rejected because everyone gets rejected and know how it feels at one point in their life. I think you should go for it and not worry about the "what ifs" that'll occur in the aftermath.
