When a guy is rude to you does that mean he likes you?

I am just curious about this. So if a guy is rude to you does that mean he really likes you, or is he just being rude? Does that apply to you when your older? I am just curious if that is a kid thing, or if guys do it now even as adults. I don't mean rude like insulting the girl, I mean like stand offish, quiet, or not engaging with the girl type of rude, does that usually indicate interest?

Also what does it indicate usually, when a guy is more talkative and flirty, with other women, but not with the one girl? Could that also indicate interest or a strong liking?

Just curious if guys still do this, or if this is a teenager thing, haha. Thanks.

It could go both ways
1. He likes the girl but is intimidated and/or scared of rejection and/or not being upto her standards (in your case cause you are outgoing, maybe flirty, joke around a lot, one of the guys while being good looking & confident can cause this). His being talkative to other girls is more a sign of his pumping up his own confidence with those who he sees as 'manageable'
2. Other reason is he doesn't like the girl or what or how she is and hence avoids her.

This behavior is common to all ages but older men will probably give leave alone stronger signals but be open with words about it especially in the latter.

If this is something to do with you then I'd lay my bet on point 1 :)

It depends on the guy, to be honest. If a guy is singling you out and being 'rude' to you, then he either likes you or is annoyed by you. If it so happens that they like you, please don't encourage them by responding to their rudeness, though. If they learn that they can be rude and still get a girl, then they won't stop.

I doubt it I used to think the same thing a long time ago when I was in middle school we'll maybe he did cause he would smile @ me but then now I messaged himand he never replied to my messages and then the weird thing is he did follow me on ig but yet I blocked him accidently and then followed him back and he never followed me back so I decided not to talk to him and he has a gf now I think so yea don't listen to guys like that they are rude you deserve someone that's nice treats u right not a dickhole

Standoffish? He could just not like you at all. Or he could be so shy around you that he appears standoffish. It could be either of these.

If he's acting downright rude, like being insulting and stuff, then that's just plain immature or just downright being an asshole.

But from what you described, you either disgust him, or he's being extremely shy

Yeah me neither. I mean I understand shyness, but this guy is not shy, and he acts kinda shy around my friend, but then he'll let some things out that he likes her, but then he'll back away and act quiet and distant with her again, it's just odd, but she doesn't listen to me, lol.

Not for me, i dont do that mind crap. Im never rude to girls either. If im interested i make it known, if im not ill still be nice to you. But if you annoy me to no end i will sometimes be rude and brush you off.

Yeah this girl that likes me is mad because I act not interested in her and I don't talk to her. I ignore her. But deep down I'm falling for her. I act standoffish because I'm shy. Its kind of a cover and it sucks.

If I'm rude to a girl it means that I'm genuinely mad at her, if she's played hard to get and or rejected me or is rude to me I'll get mad at her.
