How do you like your steak cooked?

ahhhhhhh... yes... a young lady who appreciates a nice steak... thank you!!!
I have gone to restuartnants and ordered rare and it came out cooked... i got really upset how they wasted a piece of meat...
then i got smart and stopped going to restaruants for steak. I am unwilling to pay $20 for it... not edible.
Most finer steakhouses do it right. Nice crisp outside with lots of charoco flavor and inside is perfectly juicy and rare, tender.
Aged steak... i am willing to pay over $100. for.
Omg yes a nice rare steak is one of my favourite things, if it's cooked right! I don't understand how people can ever order well done steak, it's so chewy and takes away all the flavour and just completely wastes a nice cut of meat! When I worked as waitress people would be like "can I please order the steak well done" and I honestly would want to tell them to order something else😂😂😂 just to save the cut of meat from being turned into a piece of rubber hahaha
Blue Rare (rare is ok).
Anything else is too cooked and not good at all.
Can't believe so many people eat overcooked meat, it don't taste like anything and ruin the meat ><
I know right!
I don't go to steak restaurants often and I sometimes dislike the juice coming out from the meat.
Cooking it to medium rare often ends up in medium or even rare, so I think the option of going to medium well is safer here.
If griddle seared, then blue rare.
If sous vide, I'm ok with medium rare.
But ideally I just prefer to eat my meats raw.
Yum!!

I used to only eat my steak well done, but over the last few years I've come to really appreciate a rare steak. It tastes so much better.
I know right! No thanks!
I absolutely love a good medium-rare steak. I not only like my steaks medium-rare, I like my burgers the same way. I know it's not best to eat store bought burger as a medium-rare item. But, I still do anyways.
People who like it blue or rare kinda scare me. I was a waitress and I’d say not even a third of people I served over three years liked those options.
I like it like that haha
@ChefCurry haha, no most people go for medium in my experience!
@ChefCurry oh no, there was definitely a difference! Maybe you just don’t notice it so much if you’re set on blue or rare.
@ChefCurry hahaha I disagree.
@ChefCurry how does that even make sense if must people actually eating it prefer otherwise... lol
@ChefCurry well it’s the same as haemoglibin almost, which is still a protein that is a compartment of blood, so it’s not too far off. Does the same sort of job which is why it’s the same colour.
@ChefCurry no is it not!!! It’s red! Especially when it’s oxygenated and the iron is bonded! Errr science degree here!!! Thanks.
@ChefCurry it shares some of the same or similar constituents that blood does, but it’s not blood in terms of what my people may think.
*lay (not my)
@ChefCurry yeah lol, but honestly most people who are open to learning will get it, and most are. Unless they just awkwardly want to disagree for arguments sake, there’s always one or two of those.
@ChefCurry that’s just a matter of opinion though. You’re entitled to yours, but clearly by that admission, so is everyone else.
I imagine it’s probably the healthiest at about medium-rare (max), but that’s just an educated guess, I have no proof.
Too rare or too cooked isn’t usually the healthiest option for most things in terms of it’s nutritional benefit in the body.
@ChefCurry surely taste would determine the difference more.
But yeah exactly, it’s about that sweet spot where it causes the least amount of nagative side effects in the body.
@ChefCurry well I’m a vegetarian so that’s why it scared me that people like meat undercooked, same with sushi etc. If you’re a foodie, good for you. But from my perspective I’ll pass.
@ChefCurry cool
I like that very rare in the middle and still on fire off the grill.
Nice!
I like it to know what the pan looks like but I don't want them on a first name basis. Like 20 seconds each side on a high heat
Love it 😂
Where is the live animal option?
I dislike steak culture, you shouldn't get people hating you because you like your food cooked.
I like medium well/well done.
You are fine to have your steak any way you like, even barely cooked but don't start actually hating on others.
Medium well or well done.
I don't understand how people can eat raw meat, it's disgusting.
Plus, it's unhealthy because you can actually get food poisoning. Steaks should be cooked to a minimum of 145 degrees Fahrenheit at the center point or to medium-rare, according to the U. S. Department of Agriculture.

Medium. But in a lot of places, if you order medium you get medium well, so I might order differently at different places.
Anything more than medium rare is just wrong, and ruins the steak!!
My Grandfather was a farmer. He taught me tha tundercooked meat was a possible health hazard, so I always cook or order my meats well done.
Just show it a picture of fire and plate that slab of bovine upon my plate.
Go vegan/vegetarian. Animal agriculture is awful for the environment, and the way the animals are treated is horrendous!
Obviously my question wasn't intended for vegans or vegetarians was it lol
Definitely D. I don't eat charcoal but at the same time I don't want to have to pit a fence on the plate to stop the cow from eating my greens.
Well done. Why should the restaurant owner get off easy? If I wanted raw flesh, I’d just buy it at the store.
Eh I hate it when people order well done at the restaurant lmao I want to tell them to order something else to be honest, I think it just ruins a nice cut of meat over cooking it like that hahaha
But it’s not overcooked, or else it would be burned. Just the redness is gone.
But well done is sooo chewy 😂
Not if it’s good meat.
This is most realistic way you can chew and bite on really thick juicy meat. I therefore have medium rare even tho its against my culture to eat beef :D dont tell anyone
I always oder medium well so it will come out at least medium.
Rare for certain steaks or locations I go to. Medium rare is my to go. Some restaurants I have to go rare, due to the steak quality.
I like it well done. People who say that it’s tough or hard to eat just haven’t had it cooked by the right person.
Medium rare. I’m ok with medium. Anything past medium is too much. It loses flavor and gets too tough and chewy.
Well done, for some reason I hate grèasy or bloody meats. Actually I will get sick to the stomach if i eat that nasty slime. Rather stick to pork or chicken.
Blue rare, purple and chewy in the middle. Just sear on the sides. I also like just straight out raw beef (gyu-sashi, steak tartare).
It depends sometimes on the beef/cut. I do like a slow-roasted prime rib here and there, and for Wagyu/Kobe, there's so much marbling/fat there I tend to find those often better actually medium-well to properly render the fat. And if we're talking a very cheap diner with the cheapest kind of beef that wants A1 Steak Sauce, I might go up to medium there. In most scenarios though, I prefer blue-rare.
I don't eat steak. I don't see what all the fuss is. I tried it and all it did was give my jaws a good work-out! I chewed it for a good 5:00 or better before I gave up and gave it to the dog!
If I liked steak and actually wanted to eat it, I would prefer it well done.
Well done please, anything else aand the beast is still running round the field bellowing.
Medium Well... It seems like it's cooked just right.. :P..
Often, I like my steak medium-rare. Sometimes, I like it medium.
Medium well provides the best balance between texure and flavour
I have to ha e it rare. Chicken and pork are always cooked througnly
ᜎᜓᜆᜓ ("luto"; "loo-TOH"; 「well-done」; lit. 「cooked」)
cooked this way is more flavorful and is easy to eat too ! thanks
Medium, but not beign the option in the poll medium well.
Medium. Anything darker is basically a hockey puck; anything lighter is probably still walking around! 😁😁
I prefer it well done now in the past I have eaten it medium rare even with blood because the buffet I went to cooked it that way for everyone but I prefer to have it well done if possible
Below Medium rare.
Anything higher than medium rare is just WRONG!
Well to Medium Well Done. What does "blue rare" mean?
Just seared on each side. Cooked less than rare
Eww... yeah, I'll pass on that.
Medium Rare🤩 Im not even a huge meat eater but shit’s good like that.
Rare as fuck, better be super juicy and bloody still or else it just tastes dry and chewy
So rare that I been known to eat raw meat as I'm butching the animal
when i rarely eat it I cook it medium well done there's other forms of steak I buy much cheaper an do the same cuz I like less grease
medium well, well done is just too chewy for me. And anything above feels like it hasn't been cooked through.
Had a new york style loin today, very rare.
The way it should be 👌🏼
Medium rare to rare is fine by me.. Never tried blue rare so I don't know if I would like it or not
Medium rare. I want it to be well cooked, but still tender enough.
Hhahahhaha I love it 😂😂😂😂
Well done. And a little crispy 💗
Medium rare can't stand shoe leather steak
LMAO 😂😂👌🏼
I think it's funny the pole results so far, all the women have put medium rare -well done. No women have put anything under medium rare yet, and most women have put well done.. yuck!
I'm not sure? I like my steak rare 😝
Thank you
I like mine well done, because it's tasty and crispy.
Medium rare. Its still juicy and cooked long enough to let the juices settle.
Medium well. I like fat on mine too. It gives it more flavor
From medium to well done, I can go for the others but ain't going to enjoy it much
Usually medium rare or rare
Well done.
I've never had it medium or rare.
You should try it!
Raw. If I have to have it cooked the blue
Always medium rare for me
Raw right off the cow
I love my steak cooked well done!
Where's the option for 'ew that's dead flesh who eats that' ?
If you don't eat meat, no need to answer the question, simple as that. It obviously wasn't a question intended for vegetarians.
popped up in my feed all the same :P
Always well done without exception.
Well done.
Aw 😔
