Undercook chicken?

Does my chicken look under cook? I am not a cooker but I am trying? Is it okay to eat even if some part in the middle is a little pink?

Depends which part of the chicken it’s from... legs often have streaks of pink, red or brown next to the bone when it’s been a really young chicken. If the internal temp is 165F then it’s cooked - you can also tell by the texture it changes from smooth to having a grain

Then it’s pretty normal for it not to be totally white like breast meat. And worse, if you overcook it it’s really tough, dry and stringy. Using a thermometer is great if you’re not confident in the appearance of it and this is a great resource to explain why chicken is sometimes pink even when safely cooked

Pink means undercooked. When I used to cook chicken, I always cut it in little blocks first so that the middle wouldn’t be raw still, while the outside is already done.

Any pink in chicken means undercooked, though it doesn't always mean you'll get sick simply because as long as it was hot enough for long enough, it will kill all bacteria, but you should make sure it is cooked through
