If you’re in Europe what will you buy when you spot a supermarket?

My go to item during vacations to Europe was always the cheese and the sea food.
The same things you buy anywhere else in the world lol

The Swedish company Abba (not the musical group ABBA) produces various types of fish in toothpaste-like tube. It's amazing, and virtually unknown in the United States outside of Scandinavian specialty stores. I'll get a tube of that fish, some hard rolls, fruit of some sort, along with a beer (or two) and I'm set for lunch!
Whats so special in European supermarkets.
I live in germany and i buy the regular stuff, fruits, vegetables, cheese, bread, chocolate, coffee, sugar, flour, noddles,...
The fruits and food in supermarkets taste better compared to my own country’s supermarket
Okay, can't really tell, never been outside Europe.
But the EU has many guidelines for most of the stuff being sold in the EU, so maybe its because of these...
Eg. Lots of chemicals (herbicides/pesticides/..) are forbidden
I didn’t know that, that explains why the strawberries are so good
Strawberries also depend which one you get and when.
They are the best when in season, June/July and offcourse what type of weather we had before harvest.
You can also drive to one of the fields and pick them yourself, right of the bush taste the best, don't bother with supermarkets.
I bought strawberries in Venice but they’re from a guy selling fruits and vegetables out in the open. They all looked so beautiful it took me like 3 minutes to decide which one I would want to buy. I picked a box of strawberries and that stuff was the best I ever tasted. It’s during Spring. Maybe Spring is one of the reasons they tasted very good
