Why would my friend tell me that I need to appriciate myself more, What was that supposed to mean?

One of my guy friends he is age 38 let's just call him Tim today at the chruch while we were getting things ready for tomorrows event. I cooked chicken lasagna casserole for everyone to eat and bought some fresh lemonade for this hot weather. So Tim my friend come up to me I offer him a plate asking him if his hungry. So while I am serving his plate. Tim's tells me that I need to appreciate my self more, What made him say that? I felt confused. I just smile and brush it off. I didn't want to ask Tim , why because I didn't want Tim to assume something that isn't.

One time I did bump on him I kept saying sorry. He told me it's okay that I didn't have to keep apologizing.
