I personally have eaten rabbit before. And I am a fan of pork innards, except liver and kidneys.

When I was in china I tried some new fruits I don't usually get to eat here, I can't even recall what they look like now - one had a fuzzy green and pink appearance and had a berry like litchi food wrapped underneath. I also loved the flower cookies I had during the day after my trip back to my mom's birth city. They don't sell them outside china because it goes bad within 48 hours and can't be shipped. I also had this amazing cake made out of mung beans. That goes bad in 20 hours so cannot be shipped outside the city.

Not so much exotic, but it was my first time having squid/octo or whatever the hell it was. I'm pretty basic when it comes to my food.

Yea thats definitely octopus. Texture is chewy and rubbery. Not my favourite. But I can tolerate it.

Calamari is squid. Neither squid nor octopus are chewy or rubbery if the person cooking it knows what they're doing and doesn't overcook it.

@LiamSawyer Yup, i know. Squid is also used in some local dishes where I am from. Its nice and adds a different feel to the food.

Hmm let’s see, I’ve had shark - Very fishy tasting. I’ve had squid and octopus - if cooked right - delicious - overcook and you are eating on a rubber garden hose.

I had it prepared properly as in not countryside and with locals accompanying. It’s all good and mostly spicy with taste often ending sligh burn or molasses taste. Not like Mexican hot….
