I don't give it because I heard that the boss collects the tips. I also don't have enough money to tip.

Of course! 10% (maybe higher these days) of a server's total sales is taxable as income. We tip 20% unless the service was terrible or exceptional and then we adjust.
Some restaurants force the servers to give 5% of their sales (not tips) to the bar and to the kitchen, which I disagree with because the server takes a hit when the food or drink is lousy.
We did see the owner of a restaurant take tips off the tables (supposedly putting them aside for the servers). We re-tipped our server because we're pretty sure he pocketed the cash.
In some states, the expected tip amount is calculated into the server's wages. For example; If minimum wage is $6.00/hr, the restaurant gets away with paying their servers $2.00/hr with the expectation the server will make $4.00/hr in tips. I also don't agree with this because in a way, patrons are paying the working wages rather than tipping.
Regardless, we tip both servers and valets. Valets get the standard $3-5.
I give at least 10% and I usually give 15-20%. My tip is smaller if I have more debt to pay off.
I used to tip but then i noticed i was being charged a service fee when i would get my bill at some restaurants. Apparently it’s similar to tipping but its automatic 10-15%. I know the tips are spit amongst waiters but im forced to pay a tip even if the service is bad and if one waiter workers better their tip is decided for them
I tip both. And I won't go out if I can't tip.
If you can prove (key word) that the boss is keeping the tips at that establishment, report it to the city or the state they're in. That's a big time crime.

Depends on the country. If I'm visiting the US, I always tip. But in my own country I hardly tip, it's not common here.
Sometimes. Tips are optional here and I tip if service was good.
Yes, I tip servers. I don't know of any valets in restaurants here.
All depends on the quality of service I've received
Id never use valet parking, but I would tip them if I did.
