The source that ALWAYS has an answer (Wikipedia) says: "Generally, a single shot is equal to 35 ml in Northern Ireland and Scotland and 25 ml in Wales and England."

By the weights and measures act of 1985 Spirits are generally or at least 25ml but more can be served in England & wales. liqueurs 50ml , Scotland spirits are 35ml while liqueurs remain the same as England and wales. There’s is no stated “ British “ measure
